More information
Our Clean Hands Spray contains 70% organic ethyl alcohol, aloe vera, distilled water, and organic essential oils distilled on our very own farm, leaving you with the fresh scent of herbs and a touch of soothing moisture while getting rid of bacteria. It comes in a plastic spray bottle that makes it light to carry and easy to use when you’re unable to wash your hands with soap and water.
So what’s different about our ingredients?
The main component is 70% organic non-denatured ethyl alcohol (or ethanol). Non-denatured ethanol is safe for consumption (not that we would encourage you to do so!) and we went with an organic 190-proof alcohol that has endured a 3-stage filtration process to ensure the highest level of purity. It was tested to meet USP standards, meaning it is of pharmaceutical grade. Many other hand sanitizers use denatured alcohol so as to avoid additional taxes by the FDA. Although denatured alcohol is comprised of ethanol, it also includes other additive chemicals that are inherently toxic by nature.
We also use organic aloe vera, which is known for its essential vitamins and nutrients that keep skin moisturized. When you use our Clean Hands Spray, the alcohol will evaporate as it kills off germs, leaving the aloe vera behind to form a protective layer on your skin, keeping your hands soft. A sanitizer without aloe vera is just as effective, but it may lead to drying out your skin.
Lastly, we add a hint of our herbs through essential oils we distill ourselves. The most popular herb we grow is lavender, of which its name stems from the Latin “lavare”, meaning “to wash”. Lavender and lemongrass essential oils add to the anti-bacterial properties of the spray, and peppermint essential oil is great at cooling and refreshing while you're on the go.
